The Threads of Fate
A monumental study in inevitability and material history. The Threads of Fate is an expansive deep dive into old-growth colors and the primal, percussive markings of the artist’s hand.
The scale of the work allows for a total immersion, where the physical texture of the linen ground becomes indistinguishable from the heavy oil pigments. It is a document of time, pressure, and the gravity of the dark.
Signed and dated by the artist, Sara Kraus. Lightly varnished for protection. Arrives ready to hang.
Dimensions: 54 x 40 inches on gallery-wrapped linen.
Transport: To ensure the integrity of the piece during transit, this work is shipped rolled in a reinforced archival tube. This is a standard practice for works of this scale. Upon arrival, the studio recommends a professional re-stretch to maintain the architectural tension of the linen. (Bespoke freight shipping for the stretched work is available upon request).
