THE STUDIO
Double Kick is a concept store and contemporary art gallery founded in 2023.
We are a study in sculptural restraint, curated with a heavy metal soul. Our work is intentionally by women, for women, and we believe that representation and autonomy are the foundations of true equality. To that end, every object not designed in-house is sourced from women- or minority-owned businesses.
We donate 1% of all proceeds to Planned Parenthood to support bodily autonomy and reproductive healthcare.
THE FOUNDER
Sara Kraus is a contemporary artist and creative director based in Portland, Oregon. After a decade in branding and marketing, Sara pivoted her focus to fine art, curation, and the visceral energy of metal music. Her work explores the intersection of contemporary atmosphere and ancient ritual, and her paintings are held in private collections globally.
Double Kick was born in the dark corner of a metal show, where the merch was flimsy and the aesthetic felt unconsidered. Taking its name from the defining pulse of double-kick drumming, the studio was created for those who crave edge with intentionality.
