A Necessary Death

I’m coming to you with a different sort of update today.

In the spirit of transparency: I’ve spent the last year trying to expand and simplify Double Kick at the same time. In that pursuit, I’ve realized I was building a "shop" when I should have been building an identity.

The whiplash of sales, bundles, and "always-on" inventory has created a lot of noise. And honestly? It’s diluting the voltage of what this brand is meant to be. (And probably confused the hell out of you in the process.)

Double Kick was never supposed to be a commodity. It was meant to be a collection of artifacts for people who have outgrown the mainstream and aren't afraid to look like it.

I can’t steer the ship while shoveling coal into an engine that doesn't serve the vision.

So, we’re ending this era.

Starting Monday, 80% of the current catalog is being deleted. Permanently.

I’m moving production entirely in-house and I’m trading high-volume "merch" for low-volume, hand-finished artifacts.

Moving forward, the pieces will be rarer, the quality will be significantly better, and the prices will reflect the soul put into them.

If you’ve been watching a specific piece or waiting for a "better time" to buy at the current price point, this is it. By Monday, the site will be cleared to make room for the new world.

Shop the final days of this era.

It’s time to stop blending in and start doing things differently.

See you on the other side,

—Sara
